These portable massage tables make it possible for a husband and wife to share massages in a way that gives full support and is comfortable for both individuals. The other options are giving a massage on a bed or couch that isn’t designed for laying face down, or pillows on the floor which is very uncomfortable.

Swedish massage, healing massage, and sports massage recipients are twice as likely to be women as men. There is still a stigma for men to get a massage. The thinking is that is somehow unseemly. I remember the first time I went for a massage, which was a couples massage a gift to my wife for our anniversary. I felt very uncomfortable walking into the room with the massage tables and masseus standing there I was not sure what to expect and feeling vulnerable even with my wife right next to me.
